In June of 2010, I had a full knee replacement done by Dr. Chen and less than three weeks post surgery I am walking with a cane outside and occasionally forgetting the cane in my home, going up and downstairs and look forward to a quick recovery. When I complete my Physical Therapy, I should be able to completely return to full use of my leg with no pain. A very positive feeling! Date of Posting: 15 July 2010

March 2009, Dr. Marshall fused three cervical (neck) disks and I was the bone donor used for the fusion. I cannot express the relief I felt immediately in my neck. The strength returned to my arms, hands and neck following the completion of Physical Therapy. I had suffered with this problem for years and wish I had done it sooner.Date of Posting: 15 July 2010

August 2004 I dislocated a shoulder with part of the bone chipped off and ligaments torn. My husband and I thought this certainly means limited future use of my shoulder. After surgery Dr. Chen told us that with a solid commitment to Physical Therapy my shoulder would be once again strong. I followed his instructions and how wonderful we feel to have been proven wrong and to return fully to my quality of life.Date of Posting: 15 July 2010

I have been a patient of Greater Austin Orthopedic for almost six months from diagnosis to post recovery with a torn labrum injury. I was initially supposed to be going to another orthopaedic but because of lack in customer service and run around getting scheduled I was reassigned here. I am extremely happy that things worked out this way because Greater Austin Orthopedic has done a phenomenal job. Dr. Chen was courteous, to the point, and kept everything in prospective. He showed concern for my well being and the most effective recovery plan. Surgery did have unavoidable down time, but I felt with Dr. Chen's skills I had a speedy recovery and great results. All the nurses and staff have been very friendly, helpful, and provided me with the utmost sense of urgency. The physical therapy team also has done a fantastic job. My recovery process seemed like it would be a long drawn out process, but with Bobby and Peyton's help it was a breeze. Bobby has been very knowledgeable with my condition, provided some of the best personal training I have ever received, and kept me positive and motivated at all times. Peyton has been along with me from day one as well helping every step of the way and keeping me on track. I feel that without these two people I would have been here much longer then I needed to be with minimal results. I am an active guy who loves the great outdoors also love to ride bikes a lot. One day I was riding my bike and lost control of my bike on an embankment. I was thrown off my bike and I dislocated my right elbow like a pretzel. So I went to greater Austin Orthopedics and met up with Dr. Billante. He helped me get all fixed up. Dr. Billante was very nice and very knowledgeable. He was very patient in explaining my injury to me and my prognosis. Kathy the x-ray tech was very patient and pleasant. The office is very convenient and close to my house. The therapy team including Bobby and Peyton was great. I used a lot of fun equipment and the staff was always there encouraging me through my rehab. I could always get appointments when I needed them and they were always very punctual. I'm glad I can now kayak and bike and enjoy the great Austin outdoors. Thanks again for getting me back to normal.
